On the eve of our Merdeka day, my company decided to give everyone a treat (to celebrate 3 of my fellow mates' birthday and a farewell) at Mum's Place, Mutiara Damansara. The place was kinda cozy, food was a '3 out of a 5 star' rating from me (they serve nyonyas), and the people there were kinda friendly. Not a bad place to bring your family members out for dinner, but a certainly no-no for a date. The tables are placed closely among each other, so there are possiblities for eavesdropping, hehehe.

We had a couple of beers, some great laughing among us groupies and a nice chat. We had a casual photo shoot session among us friends, for memories sake. It was fun, although the company's Sony camera kinda sucked. I could only upload a few of the pics taken because the rest of them were horribly distorted. It was fun to see all my ex-collegues again who have also remained as great friends ever since.

Like I've mentioned, the food was ok. Me and Susan were going after the potatoes in the dishes served, while the hungry guys were walloping spoonfuls of food into their mouth... Kih kih kih, dang it was so hillarious to watch them eat. I would recommend the Assam Fish, that's the best dish I had there so far.

And no, I did not went partying anywhere for the Merdeka Countdown. Wouldn't want to be the silly fool to get stuck in the jam on my way home. I would rather stay home reading good novels or listening to some soothing music. You could call me a 'weird' laydeh for a 23 year old like me, but that is how the way I do it, for spending quality time. Hehehehe.

On Merdeka Day, I went up to Genting to give my lungs a break from the horrible air KL has. It was a nice day to have a stroll around the peak. Had some McD's and Starbucks, and of course, I visited the casino, just for the fun of it. (no, it wasn't fun, i lost freakin' RM200 on Mini Baccarat, hehe, but it was worth the fun I had there) I'm still thinking if I should purchase Lobo's concert tickets. I'm not a huge fan of his but I kinda like the songs he sings. Hmmm... still thinking. Probably I should just go ask Calvin if he is interested to go with me. If he does, then I'll go get the tix.

I just had a day trip to and fro from Seremban today (roadshow). I'm freakin' tired, and I'm hungry and deserted (haha), I just need some good rests. So I'll pen off now, till next time, hugs.
